What can I expect from The Mandrake's 7th Anniversary Celebration - 'Candy Carnival'?

The Mandrake's 7th Anniversary Celebration, themed 'Candy Carnival,' promises a surreal and unforgettable experience. Step into an eccentric candy carnival, where performance arts, live DJ sets and exciting surprises await. The venue will be transformed with vibrant, whimsical decorations, creating a fantastical setting. Enjoy candy-inspired cocktails and playful sweets, dance to live DJ sets and be entertained by unique performances. This celebration is your chance to mingle with fellow guests and embrace our milestone in a truly imaginative and extraordinary environment. 

What is the date, time and last entry for the event?
The Mandrake's 7th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Saturday, 21st September, 2024.

  • Main Event: The main event will run from 20:30 to 03:00, with the last entry at 22:30.

  • Dinner Package: For guests who purchased the dinner package, dinner service and performance begins at 19:00, with the last entry for dinner at 20:00 due to a strict performance schedule. Dinner concludes at 22:00, after which guests can enjoy the rest of the evening within the hotel.
     

***Please note that entry cannot be guaranteed after 22:30.

Do I need a ticket to attend?
Yes, tickets are required for entry. You can purchase tickets HERE

Can I refund my tickets?

  • General Admission tickets are refundable until 13 September 2024, 23:59 (GMT), minus the non-refundable processing fee. All tickets purchased after this date are final sale.

  • For Admission & Dinner and Admission & VIP Table packages: Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and are considered final sale.

What is the dress code for the event?

The dress code is Candy Couture — embrace the surreal avant-garde theme with vibrant colours, playful accessories and daring silhouettes. Channel the spirit of surrealism and eccentricity — let your outfit be a true expression of your creative spirit. Please dress according to the theme to gain entry and fully enjoy the evening.

Are there any age restrictions for the event?
The Mandrake's Candy Carnival is an 18+ event. All attendees must present a valid government-issued ID upon entry; no exceptions will be made.

 

Does the event take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The event will be held in both indoor and outdoor spaces of the hotel. Activations and performances will take place in Jurema, YOPO Bar, The Courtyard and Waeska.

 

What tickets and packages are available for the evening?

  • Early Access Ticket: From £100 per person (entry only, excluding handling fees).

  • General Admission: From £120 per person (entry only, excluding handling fees).

  • Dinner Packages: From £165 per person (includes entry and dinner, with service charge included).

  • VIP Tables: Minimum spend from £1,500 to £3,500 (includes entry and VIP table, with service charge included).

  • Room Packages: From £510 per night (includes entry and overnight stay).

Can I pre-order VIP tables?
Yes, tables are available for purchase via ticketing. Please view ‘General Admission & VIP Table’ on our ticket page to learn more and book. Subject to availability. Please note that table seats cannot be increased and a minimum spend applies with service charge included.

 

 

What is the minimum spend for VIP tables, and how does it work?

The minimum spend for VIP tables ranges from £1,500 to £3,500, depending on the table size and location. This amount, which includes a 15% service charge, is credited towards your drinks and services during the event. For example, if you book a table with a £1,500 minimum spend, you can use that amount for your orders throughout the night.

Please note: any spending above the minimum will be charged additionally. The minimum spend also covers entry for your group, along with a reserved seating area and dedicated service.

 

Can I stay for the night at The Mandrake?

Yes, you can stay for the night at our hotel. However, please be aware that our rooms are subject to availability and may be limited. For reservations, please contact us at sleep@themandrake.com and reference 'Candy Carnival'.

Note: Booking a room for 21st September automatically grants access to The Mandrake's Candy Carnival event, so you will not need to purchase a separate ticket.

 

Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?

Throughout the night, there will be five bars available for drinks service. However, food will not be available except through our dinner package, which must be pre-ordered via ticketing. The four-course dinner will be served between 19:00 and 22:00. Please note that the dinner package is subject to availability and may be limited. We strive to accommodate dietary requirements, so please inform us of any specific needs at least 72 hours before the event.

Note: Due to art performances during dinner, the last entry for dinner is strictly at 20:00. Please review and respect this time to avoid disturbances. After purchasing a ticket, you will receive a confirmation email which we will need you to acknowledge.

Where will the bars be open during the event?

Throughout the night, several bars will be open to serve you:

  • Jurema Bar: Open from 20:30 to 22:30

  • Masha Hari Theatre Bar: Open from 22:30 onwards

  • YOPO Bar: Open from 20:30 until closing

  • Lobby (Mobile) Bar: Open from 20:30 until closing

What items are prohibited?
Outside food or beverages, illegal substances, and weapons are strictly prohibited. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas.

 

 

Do you offer group discounts?

No.
 

Will there be cloakrooms available?

Yes.

 

Can I smoke or vape?

Smoking is permitted in The Courtyard and Jurema Terrace.

Can I take photos or record the experience?
Yes, you are welcome to take photos and record the experience. By attending the event, you consent to being photographed or filmed. If you prefer not to be filmed, please inform a staff member at the entrance. Photography and filming for personal use are allowed, but professional equipment (such as DSLRs and tripods) requires prior authorisation. Please be mindful of others' privacy and obtain their consent when capturing photos or videos.
